You know that cry that Michael has in his voice in heaps of songs (listen to Man in the Mirror verse 1!!)?? I'm in love with it, it's like a cry of emotion!

I found this on wikipeida

"In the mid-1970s, the singer adopted a "vocal hiccup" as seen in "Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground)". The purpose of the hiccup—somewhat like a gulping for air or gasping—is to help promote a certain emotion; be it excitement, sadness or fear."

While I wouldn't exactly call it sexy, he does it briliantly in This Time Around which is a vocal hiccup that gets across the man is choked by fear and paranoia. It's great!

The ones in Billie Jean convey desperation and fear as well - that's his most famous ones. Ditto for Who is it.

Oh, I haven't heard This Time Around. Which album is this from? Do you remember where the hiccup is?

The one I know well is the one in Man in the Mirror b/c i listen to that song all the time! I'm going to listen to Billie Jean now!! Which part of Billie Jean does he hiccup in??

This Time Around is on the 1995 album HIStory. You can't miss it there - it's loud.
