So I dunno if this has been brought up here or not, so if it has please merge the threads (mods?). And even though this is news it also involves a download... so er, I dunno whether it should go here or in the media section.
I came across this link and checked it out: http://community.livejournal.com/____mjfans____/507992.html#cutid1
"Rapper Rhymefest makes a remix album dedicated to Michael Jackson"

So I read the article and went and downloaded the album (which is FREE) by Rhymefest, produced by Mark Ronson. And I just gotta say - these tracks are DOPE *_*. It's clearly a product of love and all the sampling is done really well. It flows & it's just fun. There are some skits which involve a little teasing but it's clearly all good-natured. Mind you the album doesn't have the MJ sound, but I think the album is still very Michael (& Jackson 5!) without being completely Michael too, ya know? It's probably some of the best you can expect for a full rap/hip-hop dedication album, I think. Here are more direct links:
The linked article (which I don't agree about on some parts, but oh well)

The MySpace Blog articles of Rhymefest & Mark Ronson that are about the album:

To see more, just go to Rhymefest's MySpace. I actually hope he does get to meet MJ cuz I think they did some really interesting stuff on this album. I mean, it's not for profit and all for love. And I think MJ might actually like some of the stuff too. I don't know if any collaboration would come out of it or if anything would actually make an album, but it'd be nice for them to talk nonetheless. Michael's so musically talented & yet I think it never hurts & can still be beneficial to check out what other producers & artists have to say. Especially if they're big fans & want to respect his work :D.
So I'm posting to contribute to making some "noise" for the album. Share if you like it, and let me know what y'all think!
