In addition to the original 9 songs, 7 bonus tracks have been added to the biggest selling album of all time THRILLER .

The following is an explanation/description of these new, all previously unreleased, bonus tracks.


1. Vincent Price voice over and ghoulish laughter.

2. ‘Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’ 2008’ – Michael Jackson with Akon.
This is a new track produced by Akon and Michael, featuring Akon’s vocal and a brand new 2008 MJ vocal track.
Not a remix but a new version of this classic.

3. ‘P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing) 2008’ – Michael with will.i.am.
This is not a remix of the original album track, in fact it is a different song - although the chorus is similar - written entirely by Michael. It was the original pre-album demo, and it is now remixed by MJ and will and features added will.i.am vocals and production.

4. ‘The Girl Is Mine 2008’ – Michael with will.i.am.
This new version is based on an earlier demo than the MJ and Paul McCartney album classic. This is not a remix of the album track but a whole new previously unreleased track – reproduced and mixed anew by MJ and will and features a will.i.am rap.

5. ‘Billie Jean 2008’ – remixed by Kanye West.
A new remix of the mega-hit, from the original tracks.

6. ‘Beat It 2008’ with Fergie.
This new version is both a remix and a new track – Michael’s vocals and most of the instruments are derived from the original sensational album track. Fergie’s vocal, additional band tracks and the production by will.i.am and MJ are new.

7. ‘For All Time’
This beautiful new classic was recorded by Michael in 1982 and never completed or released. He has now completed the song and added to the original production with new vocals and band tracks. Majestically mixed by Mick Guzawski, this newly produced track by MJ is a worthy addition and appropriate closer to THRILLER – the biggest selling album of all time – ‘For All Time.’The following info was originally posted by Diane Diamond :ninja:

Jackson's Super Bowl Surprise?

Michael Jackson reportedly will make a surprise comeback at the Super Bowl this weekend in TV advertisements to promote the 25th anniversary of "Thriller."
The star is to be honored in a Pepsi commercial, based on the ghoulish "Thriller" video, which will air during the showdown game between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants on Sunday.
The move is a marketing ploy to promote a special anniversary version of the album, and will be followed by a "major TV, radio, online and outdoor advertising campaign," reports the New York Post.
Jackson is also rumored to be among the stars appearing at the Grammy Awards on February 10 alongside Akon, will.i.am and Fergie.

In order to pump up the 25th anniversary of “Thriller,” a commercial for SoBe Life Water will air during the game with a “Thriller” theme, according to the New York Post. In a press release issued today, Pepsi detailed their Super Bowl advertising campaign which promises a "one-of-a-kind lineup" involving a wide variety of Pepsi products. Along with brief descriptions of the anticipated commercial spots, the press release also included various teaser videos and graphics.

Of most interest is the teaser and promotional graphic for the upcoming SoBe Life Water commercial, which will chiefly star Lee the Lizard and supermodel Naomi Campbell. The graphic illustrates the five different flavors of Life Water, and underneath is the domain: Thrillicious.com. The teaser further hints at the context of the commercial:

So, based on the teaser, it appears as if the claymation-based Lee the Lizard and "about thirty" other guys (presumably more lizards) will be dancing naked with Naomi Campbell. Based on the forthcoming promotional domain Thrillicious.com and other persistent rumors, it seems likely that the dance sequence in the commercial will be a parody of the world famous Thriller sequence.

The domain in question was registered last December by Arnell Group on behalf of Pepsi, and is expected to be an official promotional site for the SoBe Life Water beverage starting February 3rd. Depending on how "Thriller-related" the official commercial is and how involved everything is with Michael Jackson's Thriller, there is always a chance that Thriller 25th Anniversary will be promoted alongside the beverage.

Also this year, we’re hearing a lot of excitement over Pepsi. It has a great pop star, Justin Timberlake, doing his own stunts, jumping over cars. It’s a great celebrity and a big product, I think it will do well.

We’ve heard rumors that Pepsi may have a cameo by Michael Jackson. We haven’t confirmed that, but everybody’s buzzing about that. It would be the biggest cameo in the last 10 years if that happens.

i cant wait till superbowl is over so my mind can rest for a few days, re-coup and start thinking about Grammys. Then a few more days rest then the BET show. Then an extended mental vacation from upcoming MJ stuff (unless more is announced)

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - It's supposed to be top secret - but Akon is giving out a tidbit of information about the rumoured ad that Michael Jackson is doing for the Super Bowl.
"We just did a commercial - it's a Pepsi commercial. He actually involved me in it so I feel like I'm a part of that process," Akon told The Associated Press on Friday at Maxim's pre-Super Bowl bash.
Jackson is releasing a 25th anniversary edition of his bestselling album "Thriller" on Feb. 12, featuring acts like Akon, Kanye West and Fergie on remix editions of that historic disc's songs.
"It's really moreso Mike picking a lot of the acts that he liked and admired today, and kind of getting them the big songs that they like and reinventing it like it was their own," he explained. "Everyone has their own taste of how that would have been."
It's been reported that an ad for the CD will be featured during the Super Bowl. But while Akon did confirm a commercial does exist, he was closed-mouthed when asked how to describe it.
"Oh, he might kill me," Akon laughed about Jackson. "But it's gonna be funny. You're going to love it. He's not even in it. But it's crazy. I want to tell you so bad!"
Akon was a surprise performer with singer-rapper T-Pain at the Maxim event, one of dozens of soirees happening in the Phoenix area for Super Bowl week. But Akon, best known for songs like "I Wanna Love You" and "Don't Matter," wasn't planning on taking part in the party madness.
"At every big event, it's always the same excitement," Akon said. "Right now I'm so focused ... about trying to take over, I don't focus on the party side."

I should think the commercials, at least the Half-time commercials will be shown on TV as well as the stadium screens. However the commercials are usually only shown in US television. We'll find out soon enough! :D

It was only supposed to be for SoBe, in conjunction with Thriller 25.

The advert was for the drink. Just Thriller themed.

But if I didn't know. I wouldn't be able to tell from that that T25 is coming out.

It's their first commercial as they're just lauching the drink and they could have used any artists/bands music in it, but they decided to use Thriller as it's 25th Anniversary of Thriller and it's even named "Thrillicous". You know people already know Michael's coming back with the Thriller 25 album, it's been all over the news and tabloids, so when they see the ad they automatically think it has something to do with Michael's comeback. "Thriller Returns", my reasoning; because if anyone noticed, it seemed in the past they were referring to "Quincy Jones for Thriller" many times on networks-airwaves; and I use to really get teed off about that... now, 2008, "It shouldn't be no question" --- who has made history, and made History again!
