The Book
With Certificate of Authenticity
and the
VHS tape of the signing
is being offered as a prize in an international essay contest, by the trustees of an anonymous owner with a portion of the proceeds to be donated to charity.

The Book was painted by Australian artist
Brett Livingstone Strong.
The original portrait of Jackson as a "modern renaissance man", The Book was purchased in
1989 by a Japanese businessman for $2.1 million and is said to be the world's most valuable portrait of a living person.

This Media Artgraph is one of a
numbered, limited, Japan Deluxe Edition (71/125)
which had a replacement value of $6,000.00 in 1990.

This particular one is unique in that it was used as a sample of how Michael and Brett
were going to sign the rest of the collection.

There is a video of them signing it and the
story of Brett's and Michael's association.

To Enter The Contest
An essay must be submitted detailing why the entrant should
become the owner of the Brett Livingstone Strong’s
Media Artgraph,
The Book

• All entries must be prepared in English.

• All entries must be original, typed essays and should not exceed 300 words in length.

• All essays written, will be judged first by a group of creative professionals.

• The top 50 entries will be viewed by a team of judges to be determined at a later date and posted on the website.

• A ten dollar donation must be submitted with each entry

• Donation must be in U.S. currency, money order or certified check, payable in United States currency.

Oh, you can easily shift the focus of the essay to that...

It's like when they try to punish you in school by making you write stupid essays on things like the inside of a Ping Pong ball.

"Inside a ping pong ball there is a lot of space. The tagline for the 1979 movie 'Alien' was in "In Space, No-one Can Hear Yu Scream". Signourney Weaver starred in that movie as Ellen Ripley, and she became the protaganist for the entire franchise"
