http://www.dailystar.co.uk/ourpaper/view/2009-07-03

The full article isn't on the daily star site yet but basically what it's saying is that over 200 unreleased songs by Michael Jackson have been found and there's enough recent material to release 3 brand new albums and loads of out-takes from past albums to be released, also there's an alleged dvd release due of some secret gig.
If this is true it'd great but the Daily Star in the UK isn't the most reputable tabloid so i'd take it with a pinch of salt for now.
Just thought i'd share it with everyone on here and see what your thoughts are or if you've heard anything similar to this??????????

"Reputable tabloid"?

I can point out several flaws in that phrase.

The phrase doesn't matter really does it? I'm simply saying that the daily star in the uk is well known for telling lies and I was asking for opinions on the story they printed today, I didn't ask for opinions on my the way I word things.

When I was 10 I asked for a computer for Christmas and got a bike.

These things happen.

Remember Michael is a perfectionist. Some of these recording may have been not up to his standard which is probably the reason why he didn't release them. They may tarnish his quality. Though I would love to hear his voice again ripping out a new tune!!! *is excited*

Not necessarily true. Bruce Swedien has commented on one unreleased track MJ plays piano on as being "beautiful" - Swedien loves that track.

There's more than one reason a track doesn't make it to an album - being out of place is one, while not having enough time to finish a part of an otherwise finished track is another which has happened before.

I think unreleased tracks would just help us understand how Michael got to record quality albums.

There are a bunch of tracks that MJ recorded but didn't release which to me were just as good as or perhaps even better than some of the tracks on the album it was intended for. For example Streetwalker is an excellent song and to me should have been on the album first time round. Also We've Had Enough and Fall Again was better than some of the material on Invincible, same goes for Escape.

The track I mentioned before:

“There might be one or two songs that didn’t make it from each album. But they’re not finished. There aren’t vocals for everything. (...) [One of my favorite songs] is “Don’t Be Messin’ Around.” Michael plays piano on it, and it’s just beautiful. Oh my god, there’s nothing like it.”

^^^^ Try Mjtunes.com and I believe at the bottom it should say outtakes
Or try Jacksonvillage.org they have tons of info. And I have a question what
to the 2003 and I think 2005 albums that where suppose to come out?
Does anyone have any info on those?
Sorry if already posted.

''Resurrection (2003)''

It had been planned at the last minute after "Resurrection", a follow-up to his 2001 album "Invincible", was canceled.

Source (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001391/bio)

Resurrection is the rumoured title of an album Michael Jackson was working on in 2003.

I'm not so sure about a 2005 album or anything else afterwards, as there was a rumoured 2005, 2007 and 2009 album - anyone noticing a pattern here? From memory, I can remember the following:

- Be Me For A Day
- I'm Dreamin'
- From The Bottom of My Heart

There was a huge list with numerous songs from 2002 onwards somewhere. That might answer your questions a bit better.

If anyone wants the full story of Resurrection...search for it in Come Together.

The title Resurrection itself was a fan made rumour. MJ was making an album or music in 2003, but no album title was ever mentioned.

What about songs we already know about that would be great for release? The adult version of "I'll Be There" would be excellent. There's an adult version of "Never Can Say Goodbye" that was completed too. Both of those would be great to hear.

I'm sure Sony/Epic doesn't have any solid plans at the moment, so any album news without comment from Sony is probably just speculation.

Just going from Sony's recent comments, it sounds like they're going to be doing a DVD of the "This Is It" rehearsal plus a live CD, they'll probably have a CD with the material he did with Will.I.Am, Kanye West, Akon ("Hold My Hand") and I heard he's worked with Ne-Yo, too. They'll probably follow through with MJ's classical album since the producer has a cassette tape he recorded of Michael humming and tapping everything out. We'll probably get new versions of his classic CDs with unreleased material, like "Hot Street" for Thriller (I love that song).

The possibilities are endless. My guess is that the "over 100" count is just finished songs and doesn't count all of the early mixes and demos. There were 97 different mixes of Billie Jean. There were 7-10 at least for "Starlight"/"Thriller".

I'd love for Sony to bring in a choir of top artists and finish his song "I Have This Dream", that would be amazing...

I want the new pop album recorded 2003-2009!

I wonder what it would be called... perhaps 7even.
Nah, they would prob call it something different now.

A live CD would definitely be an interesting proposition... but not if contained any playback tracks... I'd only want real live songs. My ideal MJ live album-

Disc1- 10 or so tracks from a performance or two of the BAD tour. As to my understanding, there was no playback going on on that tour, it was all live vocals. I have watched loads of vids and that was basically MJ at his performing peak.

Disc2- 10 or so tracks from the Dangerous tour, only the tracks with live vocals- Beat It, Wanna Be Startin Something, Human Nature etc.

Oooh yea.

^^^^ I agree I hope the put a lot of time in effort into the CD's and go over the top before they release them. What do you think they will do about Off The Wall 30th Anniversary.
