Michael Jackson's Autopsy Has Begun
Posted Jun 26th 2009 10:07AM by TMZ Staff
The Los Angeles County Coroner has started the autopsy on Michael Jackson.
Dr. Lakshmanan Sathyavagiswaran is performing the autopsy. The Dr. was a star witness in the O.J. Simpson case.
Joel Jackson 26th June 2009, 04:58 PM Thanks for this essence...I have no words..
Minimj 26th June 2009, 05:03 PM oo i hope they find out what really happend

ILLBETHERE 26th June 2009, 05:25 PM God bless you Michael...
Jam2008 26th June 2009, 05:43 PM This still doesn't seem real. To hear people say "The late Michael Jackson" is so surreal. :(

Jackson's brother, Jermaine, told reporters that "it is believed [Jackson] suffered cardiac arrest" and that the star's personal physician had tried to revive him. Jermaine Jackson then asked for something his family is unlikely to get in the next several days: privacy. "And may Allah be with you, Michael, always," he said.
Lt. Brian Elias, an investigator with the coroner's office, said this morning that the autopsy will take several hours. No preliminary cause of death will be released when it is finished, Elias said, but officials will likely issue a statement saying the examination has been completed and describing what types of tests are being ordered.
Georgia Jackson 26th June 2009, 05:56 PM God be with you Michael...I love you sweetheart.
Super J 26th June 2009, 06:01 PM I think the cause of death will be accidental overdose with administration of drugs from his doctor - possibly by injection. He wasn't ment to die, the prescription drugs were too much for him.
doremi 26th June 2009, 06:02 PM I think the cause of death will be accidental overdose with administration of drugs from his doctor - possibly by injection. He wasn't ment to die, the prescription drugs were too much for him.
I'm afraid it will be something like that. I kind of hope that it isn't true, though. I mean, to know that his death could have been prevented.. I don't know.
Super J 26th June 2009, 06:06 PM I just think for him to cardiac arrest out of nowhere is unlikely. Obviously the stress was a factor but I think the overwhelming factor was possibly the drugs he was taking for the physical pain he was in.
A.Beautiful.Mind 26th June 2009, 06:06 PM I think the cause of death will be accidental overdose with administration of drugs from his doctor - possibly by injection. He wasn't ment to die, the prescription drugs were too much for him.
I have the same suspicion. That's what makes it so hard, this could have been avoided. A tragic mistake which has cost Michael his life.
MJelboo 26th June 2009, 06:07 PM Michael's dependency on the drug in the past and possibly the present may also be a factor.
Super J 26th June 2009, 06:09 PM Is it something that could've been avoided if he sort medical help for rehabilitation. This missing doctor will be the key to the puzzle. If he was giving Michael more drugs than he should have he needs to be investigated/struck off. No matter who you are, Michael Jackson or not, you should get any extra help that way.
Joel Jackson 26th June 2009, 06:11 PM I pray that your wrong Jenn but I fear you may be right. I don't want to know that this couldve been avoided, that'd be unbearable.
Pompous Git 26th June 2009, 06:13 PM I have no words and I won't speculate how/why he died.
Michael has sought professional help for painkiller dependency in 1993 and the early '00s.
Missing him.
MJelboo 26th June 2009, 06:16 PM The song "Morphine", which already was extremely personal and hard, has now become even more lethal... :S
urbansoul17 26th June 2009, 06:34 PM I swear to God, that I will go crazy if the doctor did that.... Oh my God, I'm pretty certain that that is what happened as well. I don't know what I will do...
Nnomi 26th June 2009, 06:38 PM This still doesn't seem real. To hear people say "The late Michael Jackson" is so surreal. :(
I know, every time they use one of the "d-words" I just think.."oh, you all are so foolish to think that"

2BAD28 26th June 2009, 07:03 PM this is being discussed on the news. I think they should wait until the autopsy is complete before 'guessing' whats happened.
Killer Queen 26th June 2009, 07:12 PM God, this is like deja vu. I've been here before with Heath's death.
I also have a sneaking suspicion that some sort of medication overdose might be a likely cause.

I also suspect this - he was a man about to do 50 concerts.....I just can't get my head round it. Its a tragedy :(
Nnomi 26th June 2009, 07:21 PM They have the 911 tape released now.
ILLBETHERE 26th June 2009, 07:23 PM yeah I heard it^^
those five minutes or whatever were the most horrible minutes in my life.
I started crying
Nnomi 26th June 2009, 07:24 PM edit: never mind about that it's not him on the call

I also think this
Super J 26th June 2009, 07:49 PM I've said all day its just like Heath. Seeing him carted out on the stretcher into the van, hearing the overdose rumours. Its heartbreaking. No one should die this young, so prematurely with so much to give and leaving so much behind.
MJelboo 26th June 2009, 07:50 PM Michael was such a tragic figure... He never overcame his addiction, and he pushed his mind and body too far... He should never have agreed to do the concerts. They were just too much for him. I'm still devastated by this.
misskfb 26th June 2009, 07:51 PM They have the 911 tape released now.
i started crying...only the doctor was with him when he stopped breathing
Nnomi 26th June 2009, 07:59 PM Why does everyone assume HE had a prescription problem?
They've also said the doctor gave him too large of a dose...
But who knows if either of those are true?
and the LMP blog she hinted at things but was still vague

He had prescription addiction problems before. It wouldn't be too much of a surprise if he still had some sort of problem, especially with all the stress he'd been under.
Minimj 26th June 2009, 08:07 PM i cant believe the call, it just dosent seem right.... dosent seem like its michael on the bed/chair
Nnomi 26th June 2009, 08:09 PM Apparently the coroner is going to go talk with the family at Hayvenhurst.

Nnomi 26th June 2009, 10:25 PM All these rumors are driving me crazy! Every second there is a new "story" coming out.

LIVisMJ's#1P.Y.T. 26th June 2009, 11:14 PM I really don't want to know what his cause was. I mean, it's going to be so heartbreaking when we find out. God decided that it was Michael's time, and He took him; that's my reasoning.
Nnomi 26th June 2009, 11:16 PM now it's been delayed another 15 minutes

Nnomi 26th June 2009, 11:29 PM 4 to 6 weeks?

ILLBETHERE 26th June 2009, 11:30 PM no foul play.
that's good.
I am sorry, but what does that means?
I am from Mexico.......so..........
misskfb 26th June 2009, 11:31 PM autopsy took about 3 hours
MJelboo 26th June 2009, 11:31 PM I can barely understand anything. :(
pepsi 26th June 2009, 11:32 PM so only thing we know is there were no foul play
Pompous Git 26th June 2009, 11:33 PM No foul play on MJ's body means no external signs he was deliberately killed by someone.
It doesn't quite rule out foul play completely yet. Toxicology results will tell us more - it might indicate foul play, but it might not.
We've got to wait now. :(
Rayfartheadevo 26th June 2009, 11:33 PM he can't be dead.
i don't feel like he has died...
something isn't right
Nnomi 26th June 2009, 11:33 PM I am sorry, but what does that means?

basically that someone intentionally set to physically harm him

LIVisMJ's#1P.Y.T. 26th June 2009, 11:36 PM Okay, so now we have to wait for toxicology reports to get back. That's always the suspenseful part...

Pompous Git 26th June 2009, 11:37 PM So what's the deal? What do they know. Someone please state it simply for me. :) I'm a little slow...
All they really know is that there are no external signs Michael was illegally/deliberately killed in some way by someone.
They don't yet know his cause of death, so toxicology tests have been ordered. This is very important as it will tell us what caused Michael's death.
Foul play has not been completely ruled out. There are simply no signs on his body indicating that.
I hate saying "his body". :(

xmj_4eva 26th June 2009, 11:47 PM First of all we have to loose our precious Michael and now we have to wait 4-6 weeks before we know what caused his death!
This is going to be torture :( I just hope time makes things better cause right now i dont know how im going to cope
I have my suspicions but i prey to god that michael died of natural causes cause knowing it may have been prevented will just add to the heartbreak and torture
A.Beautiful.Mind 27th June 2009, 12:16 AM I know that in order for us to get clear an concise answer they need to perform an autopsy but I just hate the idea of them scrutinizing his body.
Let him rest in peace.
Nnomi 27th June 2009, 12:47 AM He's presumably the last person to ever see Michael Jackson alive -- Dr. Conrad Murray.
http://www.blogcdn.com/www.tmz.com/media/2009/06/0626_conrad_murray_ap060708045483.jpg
We've obtained this photo of Jackson's live-in doctor -- who unsuccessfully performed CPR on the King of Pop before the ambulance showed up.
UPDATE: LAPD just announced they still have not spoken to the illusive doctor.
